Which Jazz? VM or CV?

I know that there are plenty of threads about both of these basses. But I have only found "sx or VM" type threads. Never a comparison of both together.

So, my question is this, which one is the better of the two? More versatile, better feel, etc.

I dig the growly tone of most jazz basses so which would has more in that department?

I play mostly punk and metal, and like a super punchy sound so... ya.

OR!! would i be better off getting a used MIM?

i owned the VM squier tele bass the finish was excellent the neck finish was kinda white and a little rough but after some playing it polished up and i dug it really good basses

i just won a CV olympic white jazz on ebay today when i get it next week all let you know if its worth the extra 50$, it has a glossier neck than the VM abd the VM has duncan designed pick ups and the CV has alinco v pick ups

i would get the CV just cuz i dig the looks better and it has a high mass bridge

there is a like new one on ebay for 275$ right now with 25$ shipping
