Which Mesa Cab?

I'm leaning towards the 2X15 or the
Powerhouse 1200-4x10+1X15.
I play classic rock througha Mesa 400+
Any suggestions?

4 by 10 and a 1 by 15 should be a great combination. That's what I would go for if I was playing any kind of rock, you just have a better spectrum of sound that way, plus you have a better level of punchiness. (But for metal I personally prefer the fridge or simply 8 by 10.)

Seek one out and just try not to fall in love with one. I don't think I've ever heard a cab with so much thump...oomph for days

FYI ... the Mesa cab with 4x10 + 1x15, that was once known as the Powerhouse 1000, is now known as the Powerhouse 1200. For reasons only known to Mesa marketing

The Powerhouse 1000 was rated for 1000 watts. The Powerhouse 1200 is rated for 1200 watts. Not exactly a mystery.

IMHO go modular so that when you're in a situation that doesn't call for the BIG DOG, you can take either a 4x10 or 1x15....
