Double Bass Which (pre)amps work for your EUB?

What about Fishman Platinum? Does anybody use it with EUB?

I used one of these and it was effective and versatile. I think the Q-strip has a cleaner overall tone, but the Fishman has a lot of other features.. tuner, adjustable HPF, compressor that you might want.

I will be receiving one of these, not cheap, but it will be very interesting to see how this sounds with a CR5M ( not to mention EB's, yes, from the dark side )

I run my Palatino through a tech-21 Sansamp pedal, it gives a definite signal boost if that’s what you need, and you can adjust tone and gain at the same time. I just last week introduced the upright to the band I’ve been playing with the past few years and it really fit well with our songs. I’m gigging it this weekend for a Christmas show we are playing and I am really looking forward to bringing it out on stage along with my Fenderbird. Sound guys also like that the Sansamp pedal has an XLR out so it’s also handy as a DI box.

I’ve used one for ten years or so, but it doesn’t work with my Fender.

I just last week introduced the upright to the band I’ve been playing with the past few years and it really fit well with our songs.

Be careful there. I did it several years ago end I ended up playing on EUB in all my four bands...

Broughton Audion will be releasing new HPF DI in May. It seems to be great for EUB and DB especially because of the impedance selector function...

Don't laugh, but my Ampeg Classic Preamp works quite well with my Stagg EDB3/4RDL, of course I'm first running the bass through a Broughton HPF. What I might be interested to add would be a Broughton Resonant Filter Equalizer (https://www.broughtonaudio.com/product-page/resonant-filter-equalizer) if I can get my hands on one.
