Logic / Mac! theres no going back to pc for me.
Thanks guys. I've decided to get a Mac and get Logic. I was in need of a new computer anyway. Cubase 5 is much more expensive than Logic on a Mac. x
I use Adobe Audition on the PC... Its an amazing editor and does way more than I know what to do with.
so here i was looking for recording software recommendations and i see this.
sorry to keep the hijack going, but i think if you don't download a bunch of crap, you're not going to have a problem with your pc. i have never gotten a virus infection on my computer. i use avast antivirus software and that's it. i've had 0 issues with pc's and i don't ever see myself being forced to use a mac because i want to avoid malware.
that being saidp), i really think it should be more what you like using over how many viruses you won't catch by using one or the other.

Who connects their studio pc to the internet? - Keep it sterile man!, This applies no matter what OS you're running!
(In reply to PCs get viruses)
Anyone working with others from around the world. Even if you brought the file into a different pc and moved it to your sterile recording environment you'd have a chance of getting a virus. The better question would be, how many out there can afford two different pc's. The O.P. made a good choice on choosing a Mac if only for that reason.

Then you are not online.... even opening email causes those problems. If you are online you have malware and don't know it. Avast will not pickup everything. When it hits, you will be sorry and it won't be because you downloaded crap. I never did and have spent countless hours getting them off my pc's. But then I've used computers since 1982.
