The show in France where they recorded a live album somewhere in the seventies. Jagger speaking French to the audience and the killer lead guitar solo in “You can’t always get what you want”: good stuff. Good live album.
I like Bill. An interesting man with many interests including playing the bass, meeting people, entertaining creatures, archiving the band’s journey, owning restaurants and now selling pin finders…! Very wealthy (I presume), he seems to be a simple down to earth cool dude living a good life.
I remember reading that he got the gig with the Stones because he had a powerful amplifier that band members could plug into, loud volume, cool.
We take this for granted now, but back in the days, musical instruments and amplifiers were expenditures that many kids and their parents could not afford.
