White (decal) logo on headstock?

I cut this decal at work. We've got all kinds of equipment at my disposal. It's just white adhesive vinyl. I haven't clear-coated over it yet because I'm honestly not sure how the solvents in the lacquer I used will affect the vinyl. I'm afraid it might curl, shrink, etc. If it doesn't work, we've got some adhesive mylar (chrome) that I may try.

you can always go to a water based clearcoat if you are worried about solvents reacting with the vinyl.
i would be worried about what may happen to the lacquer over the chrome as time goes by. i don't know
why but i can see it cracking or yellowing just over the mylar

I went the vinyl logo cutout myself.

Got the logo cut out of vinyl and painted a white undercoat on the headstock.

Then I painted the black and peeled the vinyl off. For the record there were no problems with the vinyl covered in paint and it would be fine with clear coat over it.

And here is the latest shot with the clear on (before wet sanding and buffing) and there is little to no difference in paint height... it's all about keeping the black paint thin and making the clear very thick. Then after wet sanding there will be no hint of the difference.
