White Pearl or Tortoise pick guard?

I'm normally a tort-lover, but not on that bass with the blue.

Besides, didn;t some vintage Mustangs COME with white pearl? Or am I not remembering correctly, Fender vintage experts?

White pearl on a P or a Jazz screams "aftermarket cheapie" to me, but I think that's partly because I don't know of any vintage of P or J thast came from the factory that way.

Depends on the shade. The OP's color of blue needs white pearl, but this shade of blue looks nice with tort IMO.

Is that even blue? Looks like surf green to me or something. I always get that & seafoam green mixed up.

Regardless, I'm not a big fan of how that looks either. There are some very specific colors that I feel tort looks good with - mainly lighter reds, 3-tone sunburst, burgundy mist metallic (I've said much about the raspberry smoothie P) and whites. Everything else seems to get better with white or black - except sonic blue, which I think goes well with mint. :D
