All the cheap crap basses (and cheap eyeglass frames as well) I had and played when I was younger all had Tort on them, and I sort of associate Tort with cheapness to this day, probably the reason I'm not all that fond 0f Tort. White pearl looks much classier to me.

Funny how we all make those associations. When I was a kid, all the cheap basses in my local store were passive and all had P pickups. All of the expensive basses were active with soapbar pickups. Therefore I judged the quality based on the pickup/electronics configuration.

Of course I ignored the more expensive Fender basses which had the P/Passive configuration because I at the time associated all Fender instruments with country music lol

Now these days, I only play passive Precisions. Go figure.

Both look good but the tort looks like the guy who owns it drinks single malt scotch while simultaneously running numbers for a super secret 70's time warp club of sideburn sporting funky badasses.

The white one looks smooth and fresh like Will Smith, who we all know raps happy.

If you are that secure in your manhood to go with the pearloid then I can only envy your rock solid self esteem.

When in doubt, go with tort. It makes everything taste better.
