I new a guy that used white tolex on an SVT and found some sort of white cloth for the grill.The whole amp was white . It looked awesome.

I think I had one of the original SVT's I purcahswed it right after High School, 1972 or 73. I'm not sure. Best amp I ever owned.

I have been more than happy with my GK rig.

I use a GK 400RBIII with a 210 for my DB. Sounds so good I don't even need to use a preamp to get good tone like I do with the Ampegs. That old SVT works great and has never let me down and gives me that classic tone on I grew up with. I love the old Ampegs because they only have a few knobs and I'm not too tech savy. I can instantly dial in good tone in any room. here's my rig for smaller rooms:
