Just got a Geddy Lee jazz from bassdr. It has a grey pearloid pickguard and black hipshot tuners with the drop D extender. This bass rocks so much.

Well, i'm hoping to get something this week(fingers crossed). I've got some trade bait; a '62 re-issue strat
I'm taking it to GC today to hopefully find something to trade for. Hopin' for a Ric, but won't get my hopes up too much since they don't seem to carry them very often. I'll let ya know how it turns out

Well, I did it!! Got rid of my 2 guitars for this baby. I am now officially a bass player only.

Nice Deluxe Jazz! Really glad you decided to switch fully over to Bass. I have never really been a fan of the gold hardware, but it looks good with that flamed maple top. Nice score!

I mentioned this in a post yesterday, but since you asked... a few days ago, I picked up a Dean Edge Six for $100 - WOO HOO!
Let me clarify this a little... I've always been a bass player first, then I thought i'd get a cheap guitar just to have around. Well, I got caught up in the moment and traded a... well, let's just say an intrument
for a very nice 62 re'issue strat. Dug it for a while but once I realized how low i'd sunk, I realized the only thing my guitars were good for was to use them as trade bait for a nice bass. Mission accomplished I've learned a great deal from my mistake, oh wise ones.

I just took delivery of a Warmoth 5 with a wenge top and walnut body with maple pinstripe in between, a wenge neck with blank ebony board, and black hardware. It looks very classy and elegant, like natural wood version of the Fender Aerodyne without the fingerprints. Plays and sounds good, too.

Hate to pollute da thread with bar-gin instruments, but getting another Essex bass over the weekend. Just cant decide - Red or Black?????????? Decisions. 
I already got da blue one! Blue and Red and Black should just about do it, methinks.
Really, I am grateful for the Essex megathread for hipping me to these great basses - I was about to buy a Squier and I cant tell you how mnuch better my SX is over that...thing. And it was half as cheap.

I saw that shrunken P on the rondomusic site. Hm, 99 frogs to find out how a shortscale P would sound without frets? Where'd I put those pliers?
We I didn't end up with the new Glaub, My funds couldn't cover it so I had to pass. BUT!! I still got a new bass this week for my 40th B-Day.
I was admiring this badboy at a local Music store in April and when I went back to pull the trigger it was gone. It seems my Wife and and a few band members chipped in and got it for me right under my nose and never had a clue.

Me too Drew, I just couldn't come up with the extra 400 bucksWe needed a new sliding door put on our back deck, The old one was starting to rot and fall apart so the extra funds we had went to that.
Maybe next time but for now I'll be diggin on that Ibanez, Brings back some great 80's memory's LOL
