I have not done this to any of my instruments, I suppose I could start tinkering but why? I thought of building a guitar or a bass from parts but that was when i was young and broke. The only ones I would touch would be my cheap squires, I have a $200 bass and (2) $150 guitars but even those I won't touch. You can't turn a sows ear into a silk purse, or something like that.....or can you ?
