I love how we've been going back and forth here, but no real input from the OP, oh well, he'll check this thread in a couple days and have a smorgasbord to choose from!
Lol, you beat me to it

Hey guys. Sorry. I've been in the studio and I have a few more days to go on the project. I've only had my iPhone so it's tough to see. I'll have a look as soon as I can. Thanks.
Hey guys. I appreciate what you've been doing but without it being drawn to scale I'm having a hard time seeing what it would "really" look like. I have actual fender drawings of bass headstocks drawn and measured completely to scale. If you pm me your email address I'll email them to you.
Then it's pretty easy to sketch on the headstock the parts that you would remove or reshape to come up with the exact new design.
How's that sound?
facepalmmaster said:PMd, and Definitely said that well, you'll get the drawings to scale once the actual design has been made, i dont want to spend tons of time drawing something that isn't what you're looking for. Oh, and from now on ill probably put one of the fender headstocks next to my scale drawings so you can see how it is
To make this easier for me to visualize, I've attached a pdf with full size drawings of various Fender headstocks.
My intention is to buy off the shelf necks pre-made by Warmoth, USACG, etc. Most of these manufacturers sell the necks Fender shaped (USACG has a slight difference but not enough to matter).
So I'd like to be able to shave material off of this shaped headstock to arrive at a new design. It'll be impossible to add material. That's why for me it would be easier to see the headstock design shown as what to remove from the pre-drawn Fender headstock.
I prefer a traditional look with 4 tuners on one side for the 4 string and a 4 + 1 arrangement for the 5 string.
If this is way too much to ask then I understand and we can stop here. But if you're having fun with it then let's keep playing. Who knows. We might stumble on something great that actually gets made.
Thanks.
