Who is the most difficult to deal with??

Anyone who thinks that the rest of the band is there to showcase "his" (or her) voice, chops, skills, whatever. It seems (to me) that singers are the worst in this regard, but I've worked with guitarists with that attitude, as well as the occasional keyboardist...
LSD...lead singer's disease. The vast majority I've dealt with (at least the good ones) are DIVA's in every sense of the word.
Well... I thought for sure it would be drummers in the lead. I've had more trouble with drummers than any other. Three of them have been real ego cases. One of them is a COMPLETE prima donna. Some of them have been unable to keep time, pushing and pulling during fills or just in general. Usually the "roller coasters" are unwilling or unable to use a metronome and completely offended when it is suggested they use one. Some have no idea what a pocket is... Sometimes I don't even want to play, because of it.
Wow this is a hard choice.....singers who don't memorize lyrics......guituarists who insist on tuning by ear.....drummers that can't even define "tempo"..................but I'm going to have to go with the personal attack on myself, and put the hatin' on the LEFT HAND OF DOOM, you cursed keyboardists!
ive never had a band with a dedicated key player or vocalist. i refuse. pull double duty or get out. drummers get a free pass. but even they should be triggering things (bass drops, sound effects, etc).
i voted drummers. it seems i dont speak their language. im a guitarist, so i can talk to them. i can talk vocals. i can direct an idea to anyone except a drummer. it makes sense to me when i say it.. they never get it.

Female singers. Don't care if this makes me a sexist. Whenever I get called in for an act with a female singer I steel myself for prima donna BS to follow. It invariably does.

One of them bought my wife and I drinks the entire night. I tried to turn the first round of drinks down, but he insisted (with a look on his face that said "take the F*&^ing drinks @$$hole). He even offered to take us out after hours, in his limo! Great, great guy! Great BIG guy with a long trench coat and fists full of BIG rings and a big FAT wallet.
We politely declined his kind offer to party after hours and stumbled back to the Hotel. Fortunately we made it without issue.
Keys, if keytards were born with OUT a left hand, the world would be a more melodic place. If said keytard also sings... Forget about it.
hmm... well guitarists can be irritating but i have had the worst moments in my musical career with drummers, i guess.
prima donnas, temper tantrums, unhelpful attitudes, timing problems, overplaying, starting fights with sound engineers, borrowing equipment and returning it in pieces (literally)...
mind you, had some of the best moments with drummers, too. so there you go.
re: female singers, all the ones i've worked with have been generally helpful and professional. who'd of thunk it.

I voted other, because I've had issues with all of them at one time or another, with the exception of lead guitar.
For some reason the Lead Singer As Diva phenomenon never bothered me as much as it seems to bother other musicians...possibly because I expect them to be Divas and so am never surprised when they live up to my expectations, and possibly because I'm just in general a low-reactor with a fairly high threshold for annoyance.
On the other hand, it may also explain why I gravitated towards instrumental music 20+ years ago!
No, for me the Most Difficult To Deal With award must go to keyboard players, because:
A) they always seem to be stomping all over my range with their left hand; and
B) they more often than not have a more comprehensive musical education than the guitarist or drummer, and so they somehow think this gives them license to Have A Better Idea Than Everyone Else.
On the other hand, it may also explain why I gravitated towards instrumental music 20+ years ago!
No, for me the Most Difficult To Deal With award must go to keyboard players, because:

LSD is real but as far as giving me a pain in my personal backside...nothing beats a left hand heavy keyboard player.

Probably because I don't understand a thing about drumming.
Never had problems with singers, guitars or keyboardists... cause I admired everyone I played with, and always had a good time playing togheter with instruments I understand.
