Who is the resident ESP expert?

I'm no ESP expert but it seems to be missing parts. Those pickups would not be in that positioning if it was functional.

That pickup position is actually an ESP thing. As seen in the PPJ-160.

In the OP’s case it is hard to identify. Before they made instruments ESP made replacement fender parts, and any part of it could be a one off. More detailed pictures will help.

Yeah it seems to be an original version for Masayoshi Yamashi-ta before the PPJ-160 but theres no branding although i can tell you the tuners are the same as my two other ESP basses of the era, the pickups appear to be 80's dimarzio and it is well constructed.
Just trying to see if it is an actual ESP.
I may have to email them i guess.
