Who is using Jad Freer amps, cabs and pedals

I recently got a Jad Freer Capo. Can’t open it till Christmas, but it’s in my home. I decided to order a Coda amp to pair with the Capo. Now I am considering the Jad Freer cab to go with it. Someone tell me if this is worth it. I have heard only great things from those who have them, and yet very little for reviews to make a determination good or bad.

Curious who else is using these. Anyone with. Capo and Coda combo?

I'm using Sisma and Capo.

I haven't seen anyone using Coda yet, but I'm sure it works great with the Capo (and JF cabs).

I'm sure Coda is great because Sisma uses the same power section, and it sounds monstruous when played loud.
And the last piece of your Jad Freer puzzle should be out in January.

I can't wait to see you reporting your journey…

They teased a tube pedal on Instagram.

I knew they where working on a tube preamp for a long time, and I was wondering if it would inherit from Sisma's or Volta's preamp, it seems to be just a tube DI: it's very small on the photo compared to the Capo, so there's probably no EQ control. I imagine it's aimed at warming up Capo's tone, more complementary than redundant.

Capo + new JF tube pedal + Coda + any JF cab would be perfect.

With so many tube DIs already available, I wonder what new feature can they bring to the market, but we know the attention to details they put in every product, and the build quality, so… wait and see…

Sisma & Capo.
Using it (primarily) through my SL12s.
has been my "go-to" rig since this spring, and my most consistently "pleasing" rig - ever.
(I judge a rig not only by how easy it is to get a "good" sound, but more importantly - how hard it is to get a bad sound!)

I'd really like to try cabs before committing, but cabs are a bit more "logistically" challenging..
There is a Jad Freer dealer on Reverb, but I haven't seen the cabs available yet.

I know exactly the dealer you’re referring to. It’s who I purchased my capo and coda from. I did ask about cabs. He said he doesn’t stock them due to freight costs. But will get them to order. Close to $2k for a 410 shipped. I’d still want to consider that, but it’s a commitment for sure. I’m excited to get my JF gear dialed in.

The Capo is amazing with the Sisma - it adds a whole other "dimension" and "tonal-range".

"JB" did a great job following up with me personally after I received my Sisma. Although I was a bit "hesitant" in my initial response; after using it Live & the addition of the Capo - all my initial "concerns" were removed.
(which reminds me; I got to hit him up again - he needs to order some Tee Shirts!)

I have a Coda, Sisma and Capo, but I use them with GR Bass cabs. I have gigged with the Sisma and also with the Capo and Coda combination. Both sound great. I prefer the Coda + Capo combination to using the Capo with a SAPA (in my practice rig) or using the Capo into the effects return of my WD800– there is something to the way the power system handles loud transients that seems a lot more defined than with the class D power amps.

I like having the Coda so I can pair it with different preamps. I have one active bass that I gigged with for a while and that has a Lusithand 800RB preamp in it. I would mostly just run the signal into a compressor then into the Coda and it sounded great.

Initially I bought Capo to use it as a dirt pedal, for specific songs, while keeping Sisma with a "warm but clean" gain setting for all songs. Now the Capo is always on with a low gain setting on the A-Side, before Sisma (and I add dirt with a B-side for certain songs). Love it.

That's cool! Different strokes! Typically I feel like too many EQ points introduces the possibility of just overcomplicating things.
I typically use the Sisma relatively flat and with a warm tubey gain setting. I use a Greer Lightspeed for grit and mild dirt and an old Way Huge Pork Loin (Soft Clip Injection model) for really hairy and deep drive.
I suppose that the Capo could replace both but I don't like the idea of several more EQ points especially at the expense of $700! LOL.
What were you using before the CAPO? Obviously you prefer the CAPO but curious as to what pedals it may have replaced?

Yep the Sisma and Capo are a combo that’s so great, I haven’t bought any new Amps since! I also pair mine with a GR 410+. It kills!

Yep I also have and love that combination. I’m using an NF112+ tonight because the venue has a PA and a good sound guy, but not so good that I don’t want to reserve the right to drown out our guitarist with excessive stage volume.

Last night, Jimmy's Jazz Club in Portsmouth NH. There was a beautiful backline of Aguilar DB751 on top of a 1x15 & 410 stack. I tried the DB751 head at soundcheck but just could not find a tonal sweet spot. Put the Sisma on top, and everything just smoothed out. Huge, punchy & deep. I was grinnin!

I could never get a DB751 to sound good either! Side note, I’m down in Baltimore the past 30 years but originally from Eliot, ME and Portsmouth was my stomping ground.
