Who is using Jad Freer amps, cabs and pedals

I normally have my Nobelium in front, but I've run my bass straight in the Coda too. Works fine with passive and active basses! The class A preamp on the input has plenty of gain. Sounds very firm and clear. I just prefer the extra tubes of the Nobelium.....
If you are using the CODA and the Nobelium on a live stage… do you run the DI from the power or the pre ?

So far I've used the DI on the Nobelium. Mostly because I always have since I got it,
the Nobelium DI has its own small volume knob on the side that I set for the show.
The Coda also has a separate DI volume, but I adjust the gain between my basses, and I think that effects the DI volume.....
The Coda is a more recent addition, replacing a GR active cab.
Should definitely try the DI on the Coda next time 😊 and hear the difference.

Your profile shows a LFSys Monza.

How does that compare to the GR Bass 112-ACT?

I'm sure the Coda has some impact on the sound difference as well, replacing the 350W GR Bass module in their active cab.

Have you had a chance to try a LFSys Monaco cab?

If so, what are your thoughts?

Thanks!

The Monza arrived two months ago. It's much tighter sounding with the Coda on top, than the GR and it's 350watt internal amp. Difficult to say if it's the amp or the speaker, most likely both
The GR seemed like it had more bottom, but it was also quite blooming. The Monza is very articulate on the B string (I only play 5 'rs these days) and really makes my basses sound as different as they are 👍🏻
The Monza sounds better from anywhere in the room, the GR had its limits.

I much prefer the Coda/Monza setup to the GR.
The only thing I miss is the stupid light weight of the GR. But the Monza cab has the better form factor for carrying and loading.
Never tried the Monaco. LFSYS are in the UK, I'm in Norway.....but I really can't say enough nice things about Steve and LFSYS. Great experience dealing with him.

Thanks a lot!

I'm kind of jonesin' for the Monaco - 31 pounds is not terrible, price seems reasonable for the apparent quality / sound!

I'm going to pick up my CODA and my CAPO this afternoon at a UPS Access Point.
It's a shame that there's hardly any reviews of the CODA. So, I guess I gotta find out myself?!
Your review will be most appreciated, especially with so many folks complaining about the lack of power amps for modelers and preamps users, and, AFAIK Coda is the only power amp stable @ 2 ohm

Voilà, the DNA of the latest pedalboard.

DCX Bass and EF-P5 to form the ultimate (clean) passive P-Bass with flats tone, the CAPO for anything from mild saturation (A-side) to heavier overdriven/distorted sounds (B-side), the Lowrider to do what it does best with some control via the HPF and finally the LUCE to add warmth (and whatever else).
I haven‘t decided on an actual pedalboard yet since I might want to add another distortion pedal (e.g. Amp Grinder) in case I need a different overdriven sound in addition.
Thing is, I‘m without a cab at the moment which means no sound check (and no review of the CODA by the way).
