He actually has a joke about bass players thats pretty funny. Saying he should have played bass instead of doing comedy.

Probably Patton Oswalt, he's at least high on the list. Doug Stanhope is pretty awesome though, glad to see him get some props.

A few weeks ago I caught Louis C.K. on Comedy Central uncensored. I never laughed so hard in my whole life..

Eddie Izzard is also up there, Dave Chappelle and Richard Pryor.

Jeff dunham is funny, but I gotta give it up to John Pinette! His fat people stories are hilarious to the nth degree.

In the end Mitch was only making half-witty observations about food...I have listened recently to his live CD's, and it's almost uncomfortable to do so....just my opinion. His delivery on "Mitch all together" is decidedly different than his original laid-back quasi-stoner vibe...he sounds quick and angry.

Currently, I dig on David Cross & Patton Oswalt & Dave Attel & Jim Gaffigan. All of these dudes need some fresh material tho.
Brian Regan is pretty great too.
