who LOVES their SPB-3 Quarter Pound Pickup

Got them in my Squier Vintage Modified 70. sounds very good. i thought the duncan designed made my bass sound flat because of the soft maple. the hotter output and added high and low makes my bass sound full and round now.

I am however going to ad a pre amp. thinking about the glockenklang.
want to have that added tone controll and fatness for some good old R&B/Neo Soul.

I have added an Aguilar OBP3. They don't sound that great with that pre amp. I'm thinking of swapping them for a nice pair of humcanceling pickups. Anyone wanna trade?

I just want to say, I had one of these laying around, I built a p bass and didn't have to buy what I wanted (genuine 70s or model P) so I threw this is temporarily. Man, I won't ever pull it out. Its big, lively, very clear and sounds like what I feel a P should sound like. I don't know what the deal is, maybe I got a good one or something but its great. Very high output. I set my preamp gain and with this bass have to turn I'd down quite a bit. Great pup
