Tweeter or no Tweeter is irrelevant, i'm just curious if any manufacturer's are making sealed enclosures any more.

who makes a sealed 4x10?

Some, but not all.
The 810E and 410HE are sealed, both are great cabs too (although I haven't tried the new ones).
Yes the Berg NV cabs are sealed, he also made the Sadowsky SA410 sealed 4 x 10 cab-a BEAUTY!!!! made by Jim Bergantino... discontinued also!! :-(
Rodney my Boy - I believe the SA410 was ported, - but was designed to do what sealed cabs are known for when used with a tube head.

Ahhh yes U R spot on cobba! I forgot- It just 'sounded' like a sealed cab- or so I was told!!! My mistake & not funny either. Not as funny as a bucket o' bums! ( for U US folk, in OZ Bums are asses- or arses!) ;-)
why so many discontinued? is there an inherent flaw in the design, or do people not want sealed 410s?

But you'd think a sealed cab=able to be smaller-fashion small light gear!!!

That's probably a large part of the reason for it.
The 90's Fender BXR 410 was a nice sealed cabinet. Not a particularly hi-fi cab, but it had a good midrange tone and adjustable tweeter. Pretty light (I'm guessing about 65#) and can be found for cheap.

I used an Ampeg sealed 4 x 10... great tone but not a lot of low end and if you put a little bit of power with a 5 string it doesn't do too well. The sealed 4x10 is not half of an 8x 10 SVT. I tried 2 4x10s stacked and it worked. If you are gonna use the Ampeg sealed cab, if you can, get a 15 underneath. I personally prefer sealed cabs but they usually need more power but have a flatter freq response. (due to the inherent design of a sealed cab).....hope this helps
