Who makes Brown Dog Clones

Just wondering if anyone is currently making a decent Brown Dog clone and what one if there are more than one is the most accurate sound wise.

I had Ben at Codtone here in Australia make me a clone which he built directly from my original Brown Dog. He measured component values and tweaked until they sounded exactly the same when A/B’d. I’ve seen one or two other makers doing clones since then, but his I know is 100%, so much that I sold the original and kept the smaller clone. Also worth considering is the envelope connector jack for pairing the BD with the Agent 00Funk. Not all BD clones include this, but these pedals are born to be used together and this connector is the secret to that special sauce. If you’re chasing one down, it’s well worth chasing them both

I have a matched set Brown Dog and Agent 00 Funk clones made by a guy on Reverb that I picked up used from the TB classifieds for a great price when I was about to build my own: Discordance Electric | Reverb He doesn't appear to currently have a Brown Dog in stock, but you could message him to see about building one if you don't want to build your own

My Chunk clones were built from MadBean circuitboards and build plans, so if you are able to DIY you could also make your own from a MadBean "Gas Tank" PCB (what they call their Brown Dog clone, look under the Bass Series list). Its a super easy build from the looks of it, just have to procure all the parts and drill an enclosure, which would be the hardest work. I've never played an original Brown Dog, but my clone works great and is apparently authentic to the original as far as the signal path goes: mbp.shop

I highly agree that the pair of Brown Dog and Agent 00 Funk using the env trigger connections is a thing of beauty! I may in the future build the pair together into a single box

I have built clones of both the Brown Dog and Agent 00Funk. I didn't add the jacks to connect them together but the pcbs allow for it. I may test that in the near future.

Several places will sell you a kit or a PCB so you can build your own, if I remember correctly there is a mob in England that sell kits but will also sell a fully built clone as well.
I think I left the URL on one of these posts in the Effects forum a month or two ago, if I remember I will re-post it for you.
