Who makes the best low B string ?

Have you tried the PW 128B (non-tapered) with the L7200? In terms of tension, they actually match up perfectly!

G 040 - 37.2 lbs.
D 054 - 36.5
A 076 - 39.3
E 096 - 34.2
B 128 - 34.0

I haven't because that's kind of close to .130 for my taste, but perhaps next time I'll try that one to see how well it works.

The first set of PWs I tried on my Yamaha was ML7200 (44-102) plus the PW 128B, which worked well enough. Then later on, I wanted to try the Progressives on it so I put the light set (40-100) with the 130B. I liked the 130B so much I ended up keeping it when I switched to the PW L7200 for E-G 5 mths later. By the time I took the 130B off, it was 15 mths old.
