Todd Baker is one heck of a bassist, mostly DB... but, has some of best II-V's to work on. I think that he still in the Ray/Taughton area... I took lessons with him, when I was living in New Bedford. I know that he atleast gigs in RI...
Another cat who is great is Mike Lavoie, great BG and DB'ist. He might still live in Westport or Dartmouth Area... which isn't too far from Prov, RI.
Andy Woodson. I've only just started going. It's funny, because when I go in for a lesson, sometimes I find myself just watching him play. Amazing. He's also the Jazz Bass instructor at OSU.

Ive actually had numerous teachers. I started with Jeff Mangone, and Dwayne Dolphin in Pittsburgh.
Studied at the Collective (privatly with hilliard green, zev katz, John Patitucci, greg jones, lincoln goines, matthew garrison, mike pope, steve mark, irio o'farrill)
In Washington DC with Anthony Wellington, Pepe Gonzlez, and Gary Grainger.
Moved to Nashville and I am supposed to hook up with Adam Nitti and Chris Kent. (as long as I am playing i will always be a student).

I study with Jean-Louis Locas, he is no victor wooten, but he can do the job very well, in any style. He played with almost every body in Quebec, he playen on many, many tv shows. On many brodway show. He is now with Le Cirque Du Soleil.

I would like to take lessons, but there arent any bass teachers in South Florida that can teach theory and harmony. So for now, i am self taught and playing to Led Zeppelin, Iron Maiden and Rush CDs at least an hour a day.
