Rowlf the piano player.

He was cool and smooth, could really play the piano as well as sing, and had a great sense of humor, especially when he interacted with the guest stars.

He was a well rounded gigging musician.

My favorite muppet on the Muppet show is Dr. Bunsen Honeydew.

There are way cooler Muppets, though. I totally dug the Mighty Favog on early Saturday Night Live and basically all of the Land of Gorch characters.

But Favog was the coolest.

Yeah, I loved those skecthes, too. It always cracked me up how the characters would toss their sacrifices into Favag's lap, and that was followed by the sound of a toilet flushing and then Favag burping.

"Favag" is the brand name of a synchronized wall clock system commonly used in broadcast production facilities. That's probably the inspiration for the name.
