The guy who goes first is the guy who pisses the band off the most.... no matter what they play.
Other than that, its usually anyone outside of the classic 4 (vocal/guitar/bass/drum), unless its backup vocals. Then after that usually if you have a rhythm guitarist, who doesn't sing, he's next becuase they are a dime a dozen.
