Why Did SX Change Their Headstock?

I heard that the same factory that make the necks for SX is now making necks for Squire basses. I guess it was suggested that if they want the business, no one else could have their shape.

Wow, that's an interesting story. If true, it means that all the arguments about whether Squier or SX have the best necks are a total waste of time and breath!

Hmm.. I don't think that's it. SX Necks feel different to me than the Squiers. Also, outside the US, SX headstocks are still the same shape. I'm thinking it has something to do with US copyright laws.

That's it right there. But you'll notice that Kaptin Kurt has been *sneaking* in batches of new old stock basses and necks on a consistant basis . . . money talks and Kurt is a businessman.
