Why do I hate ebony finger boards?

I’m just wondering if I’m the only person to have such a strong aversion
to ebony fingerboards. On an upright or a fretless, not a fan otherwise.

Ebony is my favorite FB wood.

Ok, I do like broccoli. It’s delicious. Ebony looks great, and is extremely dense. Really have never bonded with an ebony finger board on a fretted electric bass. Not saying that it couldn’t happen.

I love my ebony board. Kept clean and polished, withLa Bella flats it is extremely fast, and smooth as glass. May we ask why you hate it so?

Broccoli is hated throughout the universe.....

God said making broccoli was his 3rd worst mistake. Only overly loud guitarists irritated him more, closely followed by sonic-thieving drummers.

P.S. There is also some evidence HE said ebony was HIS favorite wood and he looks down a little worriedly on ebony-deniers.

I love an ebony fingerboard on a Gibson electric guitar. For a fender bass, it just doesn't seem right.

I'm on my second guitar with an ebony fretboard & no inlays. Love it!
Don't recall owning any basses with an ebony FB.

No sweat. OP did not at all say he hated ebony FB's. Just he has an aversion to them and aversion does not automatically mean hatred. I have an aversion to purple cars and mustard in oatmeal...not a thought of hatred goes thru my mind. Not everything has to be held up to hate. Over-used word. Now it is commonly used for disagreement as well.
People need to have Georgia on their mind, not auto-default to the word "hate".
