And can I somehow change that?

I've noticed for a while now that whenever I click new posts, I keep getting a lot of the same threads, even if they don't have a whole lot of responses. Pretty certain there's newer things being posted, but I keep seeing the same stuff. Is this my imagination, or is there something more to it and can it be stopped !?!?!?

Well, if there are active threads, they'll be at the top of "new posts" a lot... It's simply a list of threads ordered by last post time... The number of responses in the thread has no bearing. Are you seeing threads that haven't been posted to in more than say, a few minutes? It should be a very up-to-the-moment list of latest postings.
