I have this P/j bass and when I bout it it was not in great shape as far as electronics. It sounds worse now I took it to a repair shop and I plan to go get my money back. I had wanted to try vol, tone, and blend so I could just be different. I was armed with a diagram from seymour duncan on how to do it. I got it back and it sucks sounds "tinny" and thin and I get no volume from the bridge and its got a lot of noise unless I roll of the tone past mid way. This was done with all new electronics and brand new 1/4 pounders. I'm going to give it a shot myself at re wireing in the traditional vol, vol, tone. But can anyone tell me why it sounds like crap?

I switched to the vol, vol, tone http://www.seymourduncan.com/support/schematics/p-j_bass.html according to this diagram. sounds "better" still no sound from the bridge and the noise presist unless the tone knob is rolled almost all the way down.

The plus i can at least play the p pick up. all 250k pots any ideas I am not sure what I am doing. I know i did better than the "professional"
