I know that for a lot of people this doesn't matter, but it doesn't seem like it would be a hard thing for a manufacturer to specify whether strings have silk ends, and if so, what color they are.

Why don't manufacturers list the string silk color?
I know that for a lot of people this doesn't matter . . . .
If it weren't for forums like TB you could probably live your entire life as a bassist without ever having a discussion about silk color.
I just don’t understand why they’re not at least clear/neutral. It’s always something obnoxious like red or blue.
I don't like multi-colored ball ends. Always reminds me of a kids playskool toy...
.....considering that strings are often $50.......
Yet here we are talking about itThings that no one cares or even thinks about volume #12574
