Why I Play Bass by Martin Simpson.

This is a book from South African bassist Martin Simpson. This book has pretty much every bass player there is in it (myself included).

A very nice show of appreciation for the instrument that we love.

Very nice find! It lets you dwelve into the basic motivations behind the choice of instrument for a variety of musicians.

I've read through a few pages, and it already made me seriously ponder why I gravitated towards the bass after guitar, without even trying it before. I didn't go for the drums or the keyboard, but right to the bass. Maybe it was the "mechanical" similarities between the two instruments, but I now believe there was something else. Might even call it destiny or something crazy like that, because I've no intention of leaving the low end any time soon. :bassist:

Thanks for sharing, OP.
