Why no Ricks?

Hey Justin, I find it somewhat strange that you don't use Rickenbackers in some variation. Having owned a variety of Gibson basses including a 76 Tbird as well as a mid 70's G3 I have found the tone of the Rick basses to fall fairly well within the same ballpark as some of the Gibson stuff. Just curious, that's all.

I do...got a circa early '90's 4003 burst. It's good. I've used it plenty of times, including live with Beck. It appears on the Ima Robot record, Ladytron, the new M83, Sea Change, Dido, Garbage, and a few other bits and bobs including film stuff. I want an early '70's one, tho.

Well there ya go, what do I know. Yes the early 70's one's are amazing. Had the oppurtunity to play a 72, great instrument had a very vocal quality to it.
