Why no Squier Affinity Jazz at Sweetwater

Well, I was exaggerating a little for comedic effect :)

But there's some truth to it. It seems the few times I've used them, I've gotten a few calls/texts asking "how's the new bass" or if there's anything else I need, and then some followup calls/emails over the next 6 months or so. Also, recently I got an email regarding some DAW upgrade being on sale.

I have mixed feelings about this - on one hand, it adds a nice personal touch that after I spend money, I get a thank you email from the owner for the business, and a follow up from the rep asking if everything is ok with the purchase. Other big retailers I've purchased stuff from have not done this. On the other hand, it seems like being pushy for the sake of getting more of your business.

It could come from a good place (true customer service ideals) or not, I guess that's were my mixed feelings come from. And yes, I guess I could ask them not to call, but at the end of the day, it's not that big a deal, I just don't bother replying and just reach out to them when I need to (and they have been very helpful when I have needed something).

I think you're over thinking this.
