Thats pretty much what I thought, how much people pay (consistently) determines what somethings worth. I dont think people go out looking for a CT bass or similar wanting value for money.
Carl has made his business getting those prices, so its worth that price. Maybe not to a lot of people, but if I were loaded I would buy it, or have one made, just at the same time know it isnt good value for money. I would have to be REALLY loaded though, as I have done the expensive item while not being able to honestly afford it thing before, then sold it.
