is there no badass bridge for 6 string basses?

do you think if we got enough people to commit to buying one we could actually get a limited run done?

just a thought. i see it done on auto forums alot, getting a bunch of people to commit and the manufacture will go into a limited run

BTW i think there are no 6 string BAII because fender does not make 6 string basses (stock, at least).

Correct. The idea is that BA bridges are meant to be drop in replacements. Since there is no standard or extremely popular form of a 6-string bridge, BA does not have something to match screwholes/stringspacing/string height with.

I always a bit puzzled that a lot of people seem to think that the Badass is still the be all and end all of bass bridges. It may have been true in the 70s when nothing else was available, but today?

in my statement, i mentioned no correlation between weight and sustain. i simply said i wanted more weight. And on the packaging it goes into detail about their "wonder alloy, more sustain, tunable metal, blah blah blah" so im going to take their word there there bridges give more sustain. its like head-on, it makes me feel better even though i know is BS

Hipshot. If you get a B-style, and specify you want brass, they are PLENTY heavy with loads of sustain. Quick-load too.

i have the hipshot. i just like the look of the badass's and i like the design. i was just wondering if there was enough interest to try and get a TB exclusive run put together, if enough people felt the same way as me.

possibly designed around the badass 3 bridge with the preslotted saddles, etc

Placebo effect, you've just wasted a hundred bucks on a lump of metal with "ass" written on it, your mind needs to make a valid reason for you having bought it

And im sure a 6 string hipshot bridge will weigh the same if not more than a 4 string BA

the thing is, im so badass. and i get sick of having to tell people how badass i am. so if my bass already has badass written on it, that'll really save me some time.

Might be that tooling up for six-string is too expensive to sell a very few.

See if a local metal fabrication shop can make it for you. For the bridge plate, all you need is a milling machine, a drill press, and a tap. It'll take some time, so it won't be cheap, but it is a pretty straight forward design.
