Well aesthetically I see the connection, though it wasn't the aesthetics that make me think dj / car audio boomin system mentality.

I had a friend who's dad worked for Sony and he had those speakers...

But for a bass amp? I don't imagine that having much punch, and it won't handle much power. Maybe OK for a upright? But the cabinet surely won't be optimal for speakers like that.

It brings me back to Jr college concert sound courses, and there was always that one dude who swore that his car audio subwoofers hit lower frequencies than the pa system. That dude has got to be related. Oranges won't make a good apple pie...

But either way, it don't look right! And there were reasons square speakers didn't catch on right? Total marketing gimmick by Sony.

David nordschow and Steve rabe would be rolling in their graves if they were dead, alive I am sure they would roll their eyes at the very least.
