Wich Warwick?

Ok so i have some GAS for a warwick.

My needs for a bass is to have a growly-groove-funk-tone on and off stage.
So i got the GAS for Warwick Corvette standard or the Warwick Corvette $$ Double Buck.

So wich do you think will fit my needs the best?

Dont have big cash tho. I cant even afford a standard corvette

Go for a used Corvette standard. They go for pretty cheap.
Maybe its me but I think they're as good as any Warwick.

You'll have to try for yourself but there is a Corvette Standard with an ash body stained red. They go for $850 on musiciansfriend and I saw one in Guitar Center once for around that price ($870 I think).

They're worth checking out, I don't know if you'll have a better or worse tone than a bubinga 'Wick but they're about $500 cheaper than the bubinga models and they come with black hardware (which I find to look a lot cooler than the chrome on the the bubinga ones). Plus the red finish is really different looking too.

I'd go for a used Corvette Standard. I see 'em go on ebay for around $600 fairly often. Get active pickups and look for an older one with a wenge neck preferably.

I second the used Corvette w. Wenge neck. If you spend a few weeks onebay you can find one - likely around $600ish
