My straps are all set to a 48" pin to pin dimension. Go to Harbor Freight, get the Bauer Heavy Duty Padded Work Belt ($11). With a utility knife cut an "X" where you install the Dunlop Strap lock pin assemblies. Install them. Its padded and doesnt slip. At its widest area its 5". You can even hang chains from the rings for effect or whatever.
