Wife picked herself out a bass

Right on. It's good to have music in common with the wife. Mine got a Korg X-50 synth, and we jam together. She may eventually help me put a project together, but she wants to get better, first. Nice looking Jazz bass, btw. It's funny, I don't really care for white basses, except for Jazz's with the tort guard. Very nice.

My girlfriend has been playing piano for years, but she recently picked up bass as well. She used my Stingray for a couple of weeks until she said it was "too big" (she's a shrimp, only 5'1"), so I took her to GC and she picked out a 90's Danelectro DC bass and loves it. She runs it into my old 1969 Epiphone 30-watt bass combo (which she dubbed "The Supervillian"), and it's got a really neat sound.

I agree, good to have music in common with the significant other :]

It must be awesome to have a wife that plays bass along with you. Do you know how much easier it would be to get new gear? My wife plays piano very well. She got a piano a couple of years ago but rarely plays it at all. I, on the other hand, get a new bass and play the thing to death. She doesn't realize the importance of relieving GAS pressure that builds up from time to time. I think a bass playing wife would understand a little more. Plus, you could always swap basses and never get bored with the same instruments.
