Will these two work together?

I am consdering dumping my combo amp and plan on purchasing a used SVT-3 and an SVT-210HE. I would use these two just for small jams...for the bigger stuff I have a 15 I can throw in the mix, but my main question is will the 210 handle the SVT-3 at low volume levels (i'm just talking small house jams,nothin to big)

SVT-3...not loud? 275 watts of Ampeg tube power more than enough for what I'll need it for. It's not gonna be a gigging amp, jamming with a guitar player or and a drummer is about all I'll use it for.

As far as I know, Ampeg never made an SVT-3? The SVT-3Pro puts out 275w at 8ohms, but it's SS. And it's not a loud amp. Are you sure you're not thinking the SVT-II? Significantly more expensive, though.

This is the amp I am thinking of? So this is not a loud amp? Why does I see these going for 7-800 used then?

Well, they sound great, they just don't put out a whole lot of volume. A lot of people say they have hearing themselves with them, especially at 8ohms. The name on the faceplate might have something to do with the price, though.

The SVT-3 Pro is a hybrid amp, not an all-tube amp. Believe me, there's a huge difference in tone between hybrid and tube amps. Hybrid amps are closer to a solid state amp in terms of tone and volume IME.

I would put a SVT-410HLF under that baby, instead of the SVT-210HE. That way you'll get the full 450 watts and you won't have to cart around a huge cabinet.

Gotcha, I did a search and came up with good/bad responses. I honestly like the sound, like I said I don't need a ton of volume. Most I would ever need it for would be a basement jam which I'm sure it could hold up with. Now when I see that the SVT-210 has 200 watts RMS (8ohms) and the SVT 3 has 275 at 8 ohms, will there really be an issue of "pushing" the cab

Even that is overkill, I dont think I'd feel comfortable lugging a 410 into someones living room for an acoustic jam. If I ever get to the point where I need more volume, I can always throw a 15 under it...by the way, I'd have a hell of a time fitting a 410 into a BMW
