Some guys will indeed work for Koa, that's fer sher.

Here's a lovely Koa top & back set that are part of a custom order for a serious Roscoe-Head who wants to remain anonymous for now. But ya'll just HAD to see this Koa. Great googlie-mooglie!!

And after cutting out the top and back above, a thin piece was leftover... and we all know what happens to thin tops that are this gorgeous, right? Can you say Century Standard Plus? This one is a special order for Ron (Fretless 4 w/ an unlined bird's eye diamondwood board). Are you on TB, Ron?

Sorry, bro! Gard says you passed on that top. It probably didn't look so nice before it was sanded and wetted, but he says he gave you a shot at it :eek:

But that's alright, your bass is every bit as ridiculous in Koa terms. :hyper:

Oh so now the truth comes out!!! Well yeah course I don't remember it when you send it to me raw and uncut with Gard sitting on it drinking coffee and eating doughnuts, I couldn't even see the figure under all the jelly glaze all over it!

"Hey Cliff we just got a hot lead on some koa, we found this old crazy farmer on the west coast of Kauai, near Poi'pu. He says he might have some killer koa for your bass, real fresh stuff. Whadda think? We can't show you anymore, pic it or leave it! Want it on your bass?"

Shoot, at the rate these Koa basses are moving through my store, you're just about the only one that DOESN'T have a Koa Roscoe at this point :eek: And Jerry. And Joe. And Steve. And Ray. And on and on... OK, there are a few stragglers. :rollno:

I can almost hear Cliff screaming at his computer: "I STILL don't have one, MF'er!!!!"
