The latest incarnation of the board holds true to form, but with the addition of a few MXR goodies.

My head is still spinning from the performance tonight at mexicali live in Teaneck, NJ. the Trace rigs were cranking, and everyone was absolutely on the ball. Mindblowing!:hyper:

This is the Kings X guy, right?

Do a search you will find he goes way back to the Sugarhill Gang Seal Stevie Nicks Tackhead and more ...IMO MR Wimbish has transended time and genres and is always on top and in front of ...what can be done with a bass and imgination.
I have been very fortunate to see him way back when the live Sugarhill band had 2 bass players one played a doubleneck Gibson Guitar\bass and Doug I believe had the first Pbass with and added Jazz bridge pickup.... I think it was by Schecter when they were just known for high end custom pickups and wired pickguards.

Hey, thanks for the heads up!

Turns out, LC will be playing at Central Park Summer Stage on Saturday. I dig Doug. I'm gonna go!

MM

So not a whole lot has changed except the DL-4 has gone and he's added:

Digitech Time Machine
Boss SL-20 Slicer
Eventide Pitch Factor

Still not using the Tone Factor 442 I gave him :bawl:

Let me dig out the pics of his board I've had from the few times I've met and seen him.

Seems to be all I can find right now

The core tends to stay the same, Guitar Crybaby, Disnortion, Whammy, Boss DD-2, Dod FX25, Boss BF-2, Boss DSD-2, Digitech Digiverb, Digitech Synth Wah.

His main point that none of his fx are specifically for bass.

One of my heros.

you GAVE him a tonefactor??? wow, you must be loaded to give a rich guy a $500 pedal! i should suck up to you a little more ;)

btw, i can dig the livid color thing...they are quite an angry band :bassist:

I think you are mistaken on the pedal but it's a $150 pedal or it was at the time.

It was the Tone Factor branded one of these

And Jimmy when you play like Doug Wimbish I'll give you a free pedal ;)

I saw them on the Experience Hendrix Tour earlier this year. He had a smaller pedal set-up than that, perhaps because it was such an ensemble show. That said, they played the holy hell out of the Hendrix tunes they did by themselves.

And then Satriani jumped in as the second guitar player....
