Winding pickups...

My first post on TB so hi all!!

Anyway Ive been looking around to find some info on making pickups and I've found that in this area that info seems to be lacking.

Can anyone point me in the right direction to find some real info or anything relating to this please?

Anyway thx in advance

Srry if this is the wrong place to ask this.

Making pickups is pretty easy, you need to be careful with the wire it breaks very easily. You can also make your own winder. Here's mine.

I use the drill for my turning motor and when the arm comes around and hits the = sign on the calculator it adds 1, after about 5000 to 7000 turns I'm done. I know it's not the greatest tool I own but it gets the job done.

I'm not into winding my own pickups, but I must say that a pretty freakin' ingenious way to count windings. Well done!
