I had great success with the Sovtek and JJ KT-88s. I'd like to try the Ruby 6550. I've read they are extremely similar to the GE 6550 according to Doug at Dougstubes whic the Winged C were also similar to from what I understand.

I have a set of Ruby branded 6550s and they are just re-labelled Winged C. Winged C logo is still visible with Ruby matching labels on the bases.

Rubys, eh? The tech who just worked on my Super Reverb put Ruby 6L6GC's in it to replace the RCA's I had in it. I like them.
