WinISD help/advice

Hey everybody, wanted to pop in and see if anyone could throw some advice my way.

I'm completely new to WinISD (and cab/driver modeling in general), so I honestly have no idea what I'm looking at here. I'm fairly familiar with T/S Parameters, and have no questions about what each parameter means. However, what I'd like to do, is model my cabinet that I have now (Peavey TVX 810) to make sure that I can place 8 new speakers (Eminence BP102) inside and everything work right without damaging the drivers. Cab specs listed as follows:

22.5in W x48in L x17 in H

port is 21in x 3.5in

I also measured the shelving (kinda. it was an estimate) at .25in x 17in x 5in. Not sure if these matter much.

Any advice? or is there a winisd tutorial somewhere? I've checked out a few but don't really understand them. They seem to be geared more toward single speaker enclosures than something like an 810.

Side Note: When I put in my port dimensions things get weird. It's a rectangle port at the bottom of the cab... How should I be inputting this in winISD?

Thanks to anyone that takes the time to help me out. It's much appreciated. If you'd rather speak over the phone about it, let me know and I'll give you my number.

Im not terribly familiar with winisd but try modelling a few 8x10 cabs that you like the sound of and know are typical. Keep those performance graphs handy to compare to different drivers in the peavey box. Cant help you with the port question bc ive only ever modeled sealed boxes.

Well really what I'm worried most about is that I don't want to damage the drivers. With the port being so big, having drivers that aren't meant for vented cabinets could cause damage. I just want to make sure that those speakers will be okay in the enclosure I have for a while, because I plan on building another cabinet for them later down the road, once I've gotten the hang of it.
