Winter build off 2019 - Victory 5D

After leveling, applied a few more coats last night:

Plan to let this cure and switch over to the birds for tonight.
 
OK, in order to make sure at least 1 of 3 actually makes it to the finish line, I'm back on this.

Bridge mount: the top of this plate is about 1/32" proud of the body, to ensure a solid coupling to the bridge:

The black finish on the bridge is not conductive, so to get the strings grounded I needed to add bit of copper tape to catch the ball ends:

My build off contains the mashup elements of the following

Body: Bass Side: Gibson Victory Bass
Treble Side: Fender Dimension with Victory bevel on the cutaway

5 String Jazz Bass style neck
Music Man bridge and Pickup



Specs of the build are as follows:
Neck : 5 String J-Bass purchased from e-Bay vendor
Finger Board: Maple with black block markers, black binding
Scale Length: 34 inches
Tuners: Hipshot Ultralights
Bridge: MM Style 5 string bridge mounted on aluminum block embedded in body.
Pickups: Wilkinson 5 string MM pickup
Electronics: Volume (with coil split on push-pull) Passinwind Opensource LPF Preamp with Bass/Mid stacked, LPF frequency, LPF resonance
Body: Chambered cherry back with walnut accent layer and quilted maple top
Finish: z-poxy resin + Varathane Ultimate Water Based Polyurethane
Strings: Dunlop Super Brights
