So, we are just about a week in and I see substantial progress.

Yep, its killing me being so far away from my workshop, but at least I'm able to live vicariously through y'all's build threads...

Minimal progress.

Awaiting saw blades from Amazon. 1/2" Brass rod and 1/8" plate coming along. Hopefully delivered tomorrow.

Can't glue up until I get that blade.

Hopefully I can at least get my top flattened this weekend.

Really inspiring to see the progress made on so many of the builds. Pros here make it look easy.

I'm waiting on replacement sleeves for the reciprocating sander for the body. I guess I could do the truss rod..

77 days!!! time is flying by. How do you all feel about your entries right now?

I am happy overall with my progress and the instrument itself. I have a couple of "worry spots" and general concern that this thing is going to fold in half and/or produce no sound by the time I'm done.

I'm not as far along as I'd like, but still optimistic I can get it done.

I am, however, questioning some of my more ambitious design choices. I mean, I'm still a relative rookie, it's never taken me less than 3 months to build a bass. So, why don't I launch into a semi-hollow 6 build with a couple other new techniques to figure out as well on the build?

That all being said, I do really need to stop making errors that cost a lot of time

Not as far as I'd like to be, but largely by choice (prioritizing Fat Freddy's K) I'm pretty confident I can finish in time plus I'm used to the heroic charge to the finish line.

I'm freakin' out, man!

Unseasonably warm weather in NC has meant that my shop has remained busy at a time of the year when I would normally be counting ceiling tiles... apparently sunshine and warm weather makes people want to go ride their bikes.

Great for business, not so great for my bass building time!

I feel like I'm going too slow, blaming most of that on the holiday hullabaloo. But now I have no excuse!
That said, what the hell am I doing at this desk?!? Time to go back to work.

Got my tone circuit figured out though!

I for sure am going to finish in time. I had a wonderful holiday time this year. I've spent quality time with myself in the workshop and with my wife and son also. Tomorrow it's time to go to work again. Pickups to make, then I'm ready for finished pics.

You guys all amaze me. So far some of these builds are awesome and I'm enjoying watching this thing progress. I kept reading the rules and thinking "couldn't you just cut a Steve Via 'monkey grip' and call it good?" but you guys just went to the full extreme. My hat is off to each of you, and we're not even finished yet.
