That is by far the nicest thing I have ever seen made from scraps. Such a great combination of interesting woods skillfully assembled. Being a semi-hollow makes it even cooler!
Coincidentally, I just received my first piece of bocote recently so this reminded me how cool it looks as a fretboard.
EDIT: Actually, maybe the second nicest thing, after the bass![]()
Wow, that's really excellent.
I like the scraps idea as I have tons of them in various local hardwoods, but I think they look a little cheap, or even kit build if they come through to the front, so having a top is great. I also like the asymmetry of the wood pieces in the back even though when first mentioned I thought it might look odd.
The T nuts for the neck bolts are a good idea too; I've used literally thousands of those when building speakers.
