Winter Build off 2022 - ThunderJag

I used to over achieve and play hard. But that was because I always had junk basses and didn't know or pay attention to setup, pickup height, etc.
It wasn't until I was asked to play with a few buddies at around 30 yrs old that I went out and actually spent real money on a nice new bass. ESP LTD C305 I think it was. I didn't know if they came from the factory like that or if the store set it up, but I never played anything like that before. I almost had to relearn how to play because I no longer had to beat the crap out of my bass or fight off all the quirky noises.
I hope my builds turn out nice and easy to play. I have a feeling that if/when I start playing regularly again, I won't be able to ask too much of my hands. Being able to play with a light touch will be key. And a sign of a well made and well set up bass, too.

After thoughts

I like this bass. Really love the tighter neck radius, it’s plays fast. Balance is good, pickups are decent. Like my other build, neck pocket need to be a bit deeper to allow adjustments at the saddle without grinding the saddle

Has that solid Thunderbird rock tone

Only complaint is the strings. I was hoping the Marcus Miller Dunlops would compliment the humbuckers, and they’re ok. They are a bit scooped, so I’ll get some 45-100 slinkies on there soon

Thanks for reading everyone
