Can you provide an update on that new Kingston Saratoga Deluxe if time permits? I'm interested in that. More specifically in how good the passive tone on the instrument is since it has the ability to operate actively or passively. Is it just a get out of trouble type thing or good tone without the active electronics?

Almost certain not to happen, but I'm excited to see all the other new stuff anyway. I know Lakland had hinted about some new colors for its Hollowbody 30 this year.

There's some nice looking new gear out there. I'm specifically excited to see new 6-strings from Ibanez, especially their new PJ's with Nordstrands in them which are part of their SR Premium line. Can't wait to hear how those sound!
The fanned fret basses from ibanez look very cool. I'd like to here a comparison to dingwall since the ibby scale length is shorter.
Prototypes have been seen on this forum, thanks to Thomas Kievit (I think it was him). All the same though, I'm curious as well.
I'd never play one beyond a test drive due to stylistic issues (a lot of chords and tapping)...the fanned frets make that very difficult from what I understand. Interesting that they put it out though. Ibanez is doing a REALLY good job at raising the bar. They're coming out with products that you just don't see unless you're going high end niche market...and having them mass produced?! Crazy good. Hats off to them!
