First off, huge thanks to @TonyP- and @Jon Moody for helping me to get in this year. As always, they know that all I want to do is take pictures of everything bass related that I can find, and then post them here - and they help me to achieve that.

So that it's perfectly clear, I am NOT endorsed by anybody. If I like something, or think something would be useful, then I want to let people know about it. I get no kick-backs or anything for doing this. Anything I have, I probably paid for.

My NAMM started on Wed, the 15th, in Fullerton, CA, on a little street called "Fender".

Thanks to @TonyP- and Steve Araujo (Steve Araujo (@thebasshang) • Instagram photos and videos) , I got to hang out with themm and go on a tour of the G&L factory.

Tony's band is recording a video today. Here he is warming up and listening to me make fun of him.

I'm told that this is the original Stingray Prototype!

GHS Strings

My first stop is the GHS booth to say thank you for getting me in.

GR Bass

Next stop is GR Bass to see if Remco is going to be playing at their booth this year. Last year at the end of the show I ended up purchasing a 2x12 slim in white leather (soooooooo sexy), and only 42 pounds. Well I find out that 1) No Remco at their booth this year, and 2) they now have a 2x12 that is only 28 pounds!

On Sunday I went back to compare the new cab to my 2x12. We set them up side-by-side and plugged one amp into both of them. I went about 20 feet away and started playing. I was waiting for them to switch from my cab to the new cab. It turns out, they were switching while I was playing, and I didn't even notice. So, the new super-light cab plays sounds just as good as mine. BAH! I CAN'T AFFORD MORE CABS!!!

I just bought some of these, custom purple of course. I thought they were raffling off the belt, so I took as many pics as I could to try to win it. Turns out it was a raffle for a free cable. I wonder who won.

It seemed to me that a lot more of the Chinese manufacturs were up in Hall D than in the previous years. Normall I'd expect to see this type of booth downstairs in Hall E.

Their booth was packed. These dudes are SUPER innovative. This time, they had a optical light pedal.

These guys had one of the best advertising campaigns. They had guys dressed in bee keeper outfits handing out stickers and stuff, and they seemed to be everywhere.

I didn't get a chance to talk with these guys this year. When I thought about it, they were busy (which is a good thing).
